Shade Sail Fabric – Shade Sail Fittings – Shade Sail Thread
All fittings used are 316 marine grade stainless steel including post attachment points, turnbuckles to tension the sail and D-rings in the corners of the sail. This prevents the corrosion problems seen with galvanised fittings.
We use high quality, heavy-duty knitted shadecloth designed for use in shade sails and shade structures, and we source this cloth from an industry leading supplier. Our shadecloth incorporates the best UV stabilisers and provides maximum protection against heat & harmful UV rays. Available in a wide choice of colours.
Also available is a range of waterproof fabrics.
High tenacity, U.V. stabilized polyester webbing is used on all edges of our shade sails. For extra U.V. protection, the edge webbings are completely enclosed by folding the material around the webbing. All seams are double-stitched using Tenara thread.
We use Tenara teflon thread. Tenara thread contains pure expanded PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene). It is weather and fade resistant, making it ideal for use in shade sails. NASA even used GORE PTFE fibres in their spacesuits!
